Stop funding everything.
I was homeschooled for a few years in the late 70’s / early 80’s, my parents weren’t getting any money and still they were trying to tell my parents what to do.
What you propose requires honest law-abiding (non-sociopathic) politians and government workers.
I think the public school system is mostly pretty pathetic and they’re not really teaching the kids very well as an engineer
That being said both of my kids have friends and they kind a like school and so I’m fairly tolerant of it
However this being a communist state California they’ve decided to use their Nazi powers and try to force all the kids to get poison shot into them otherwise known as vaccines and not let us have any exemptions anymore
I told the wife it will come to ahead if it has to and we will pull our kids out of school and homeschool them if they try to force the issue
This is one of those well-intentioned but misguided ideas. You have to follow through this idea to its end: if the government pays you, they can now own you. They can (try to) mandate what you teach, and anything else they want. This will be the end of free homeschooling in America. They have been making this move with the charter schools for years.
No thank you. Government involvement comes with too many strings.
