After the 2016 cheating, he should have been alerted to the fact that they will go to any lengths to win. The fact that Democrat field was a disaster and that Biden almost never went out campaigning in 2016, stayed in his basement, and couldn’t attract flies if he were a sugar lump should have been loud tip-offs to imminent cheating. Then there was the Soros and Zuckerberg funding of elections around the country, especially in targeted swing areas. And Biden’s senile comment about having assembled the best election-theft machine ever.
What could have been done differently? Could Trump’s ground teams have worked with the election boards in the various states? Worked to get their own Secretaries of State hired (the way Soros did)? Combatting the fraud should have started right after the 2016 election from the strength of a sitting POTUS. Once the 2020 campaign swung into high gear, it was WAY too late to address these problems. Also, the Trump campaign probably should have been anticipating the key Dem theft tactic of hiding under cover of COVID to implement mass mail-in voting. Maybe that could have been headed off in the courts around March and April 2020.
Sure, it’s all Monday morning quarterbacking. But I think there was BIG failure of Trump’s team to ANTICIPATE and defend against the planned Dem vile (and frequently outright illegal) strategy and tactics.
The fix was definitely in. The 2016 election caught the establishment RINO/GOPe by surprise as well as the demonrats. They hadn’t cheated enough but weren’t going to let that happen in 2018 nor 2020.
I should have known by all the Republican surveys I received in the mail between 2016 and 2020 with voter integrity/election fraud not even a choice of the “issues.”
Good analysis. I agree; Trump needed to have a top legal team (they are out there, Robert Barnes is one of them) in place to fight the election changes BEFORE the election - it is much easier to battle the crooks changing the rules before the election but much tougher after votes have been received. His team should have anticipated that the opposition would lie, cheat and steal as it is their character.

From day one the possibility of impeachment kept the new president distracted for 2 years. Establishment republicans and conservatives alike never totally got on board his populist approach. In spite of these obstacles though, he ( a non politico) produced an impressive boatload of effort and positive change for the country.
We are organised as a republic. Constitutionally the feds can’t willy-nilly move into a state and take over rights constitutionally reserved to it. Thank goodness states provide individual rules and laws associated with voting. Of course, cheating occurs but Imagine for a moment handing over to the current all democrat federal government the keys to our state and local ballot boxes. Red and Blue states still exist like they have throughout our history. Trump had the wisdom to understand that the preservation of individual red and blue states is what gives America its diversity of opinion and protection from poisonous national group-think.
Cheer up! It’s possible next November 2022, republicans will be defending charges of ballot box tampering.
...maybe we could recognize that the GORinos were IN ON the Steal and did nothing to help and everything to hinder Trump continuing to ruin the UNIParty get rich schemes...
