I thought the same thing when I read that former Texan’s post. But then I thought, if the word to describe Grampa Gropey’s condition is “dotard”, shouldn’t it be “dottering”?

You ask a good question. When I tried to find an answer, I saw several instances where the word “doddering” was used, and one mistake by the GOP times that screwed up and used “dottering”.
Just wait a while, and I’m sure it will become accepted. After all, they let people get away with the word “irregardless”. ;-)
Don’t get me started on people calling March 17 “St. Patty’s Day”. Patrick was not a tranny.
