I warned people about Pence the day Trump announced him as a running mate. He was a weak State Governor and always back tracked when pushed on an issue. Everyone was like oh Pence is going to send the elections back to the states. I was like that isn’t like Pence. Now everyone sees and knows what Pence is like. He is done politically in the GOPe. This is his retirement home. The article doesn’t say Pence paid cash for the home, only that he bought it. Most successful businessmen would never pay cash for an asset like that. Instead choose to leverage their current wealth for the asset.

My youngest son lives in an apartment complex in Carmel. It’s overpriced.

"We lived in Carmel when I was in first grade. It was the country then."

My youngest son moved from New York State to Carmel, Indiana about 6-7 years ago. He and his then-girlfriend, now wife next moved to Noblesville. They moved back to Carmel a little over a year ago. All the apartments were overpriced...approximately $1300 a month. I live in a small city in central NY State. I pay $500 a month for a two-bedroom apartment with central air, walk-in closets, storage area, one full bathroom, dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove and fridge, and includes water. I pay my own utilities which amount to nothing. I've been here for 20 years, and although the place could use a paint job, which at almost 74, I won't be doing, it's comfortable and cheap.

"30 pieces of silver goes a long ways now days."

Didn't he also get a 7-figure book deal?

“Didn’t he also get a 7-figure book deal?”

Others have has big-figure book deals like Hillary, Hunter, etc., as a money-laundering tool. I expect Pence’s deal is the same. He did what his DS buddies demanded, and this is the payoff. Good boy.

As many as he needs. But that does seem a bit excessive unless he is taking in lodgers.

"He has a $90,000 pensions, thanks to being VP."

Is his Congressional pension included in that? What about his time as Governor?

“As many as he needs. But that does seem a bit excessive unless he is taking in lodgers“

Well those are pretty much my thoughts as well.
But then again there are likely legit needs for a former VP to have needs for additional space; security reasons in particular .
But we know pretty much every politician with the exception of Trump, have greatly profited from working in government.
And I will never say “public service” . They aren’t “serving”. They are choosing a line of work and getting well paid.

Trump has only himself to blame for the loss.
“Aboutism” is Trumpers favorite card always something or someone else’s thought never Trump’s fault, no ownership no accountability is it Pence’s fault Trump refused to enforce existing voter laws especially in the key states? Is it Pence’s fault Trump refused to implement a proper updated presidential campaign battle plan? Should Trump have kept his word and open the country back up in June and rescind his martial law national/state declaration order? Instead of keeping it in place? Shouldn’t have Trump come up with much better campaign policies than the rehashed MAGA/KAG?
Seems to me there’s plenty of blame too be put on Trump’s feet rather than the typical but Hillary but Obama but Pence but deep state etc. Etc. Accountability is what separates the masses from an enabling cult to those of a real movement you know this to be both correct and right.

I could be wrong, but aren’t “existing voting laws” regardless of what State; supposed to be enforced by State Legislators?
Was it not the Governors of each State who were / are responsible for the shut downs?
Again, I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Martial law was never declared.

$1.93 million buys a 7-bedroom, 7 1/2-bath house in Carmel, Indiana. In Carmel, California, what would that buy? A 3-bedroom, 1 1/2-bath house?

I could be but there are federal voting laws in place.
Could be wrong but yeah Trump declared a full state of martial law order declaration not only that he also delegated States with rights that are not in the intended purposes of the constitution and in the bill of rights.

Stop being a dumbass enabler of a drone could you do that?
God what a total typical Trumper drone you are

Let me guess commie your socialism better their communism?

You’re text definition of why the entire conservative movement is going to hell in a basket you’re an enabling drone of a moron who refuses to admit anything yet you’ll gladly get on your pedestal and bash up the left.
Another thing Trump also wanted the mail in ballots too he encouraged it ten fold he’s a giant statist buffoon con artist who’s taking everyone who drinks up his koolaid for a wild ride.

Not much.

I have never seen any president, certainly not Reagan, go against so much opposition. It is mind-boggling how much he accomplished without an iota of help.

“He shoulda replaced everyone.” Yeah? With who? Take out RR, the next in line was an anti-Trumper, and the one after that. Same with the CIA. Same with DOJ.

Trump never, ever declared “martial law.” He left it up to the states. That was a mistake. But like W absolutely could not ignore Saddam’s possibility of having WMDs, Trump couldn’t go against the whole medical gubment establishment.

I think criticizing Trump is like whining that God only had 10 commandments.

That’s such nonsense LS and you know it.
Never declared martial law? My a$$ if it were Obama who had given the order you’d be screaming marital law and writing article after article hell you’d been at the White House with rifle in arms ready for a baoloogo thrown down.
Too say otherwise, is beneath your character.
Don’t give me the lame he didn’t have anyone excuse he had plenty but choose to listen to his handler Kushner over every single pick with the two exceptions of Bannon/Bolton.
Reagan didn’t any opposition? he most certainly did, communist Dem’s, far right/old right Birchers, Rockefeller repubs the drive by media, you know name it.
Trump meanwhile enjoyed a strong large amount of loyalty that Reagan never had he also enjoyed a super two house majority that he himself completely wasted away by kicking the cann right down the Presidental election is on him.
Aboutism is old getting LS the only thing keeping Trump relevant is the Dems are that much more worse.
The entire American Conservative movement is dead no leadership no accountability no ideals no policy nothing it’s dead in the wind sure Trump will win 2024, but what victory? The same weak minded double mindedness? Same aboutism? Some victory We the people indeed. SMH

The fact that this is far away from the Swamp, and “only” a couple of million dollars certainly improves the image I have of Pence. He seems to be avoiding the Swamp Culture of most other politicians from there.

“He seems to be avoiding the Swamp Culture of most other politicians from there.”

It’s the 21st Century and technology has made it as easy as pie to scheme virtually. I do not trust him. I wouldn’t trust him if he were on a remote ranch with only a Hughes satellite system connecting him to the world.
