El Paso, Texas — Along the U.S.-Mexico border, drug cartels are seizing an opportunity.
"We are seeing that the cartels are exploiting our current influx of unaccompanied children as well as our influx of single adults and they're bringing hard drugs," said U.S. Border Patrol agent Joel Freeland.
In a year, fentanyl seizures have jumped 800% in Texas, and the drugs coming across the southern border are fueling an unprecedented epidemic across the U.S.
The toll can be counted in the skyrocketing number of deaths from overdoses. Among them was 20-year-old Jacob Del Hierro of Colorado.
"I wake up most days in a state of shock. I cannot believe that I lost a child," his father Chris Del Hierro said.
Del Hierro is among the more than 88,000 Americans who died from overdoses in the 12 months ending October 2020, up 19,000 from the same period the year before.
"It'll live with me for the rest of my life. My wife had to watch as I screamed and begged for my son to breathe," Chris Del Hierro said.

The fentanyl is not a crisis. Fentanyl tends to kill primarily white lower class men, you know, deplorables. As I said, for those in charge, what crisis?

If you look at how toxic that stuff is, it qualifies as a WMD. A KG would be enough to kill 1 million large men with a thousand mcg dose. smaller people would require less to be lethal.
This is China’s other virus that they inflicted on us and we are doing nothing. The Democrat party has no problem with it as long as they get the votes from the people bringing it in.

If China wanted to indiscriminately kill that many, it would crop dust populated areas with drones or dump a few hundred pounds into water supplies. As it is, appears to just be targeting undesirables that they don’t want to deal with—when they take over?
About 10 years ago, my wife had surgery on her shoulder and neck. Post surgery the pain was even worse so she was admitted to a nursing home for physical therapy and pain management.
The doctor put a fentanyl patch on her. Day one, no change, day two, some pain lessening, day three a little more pain lessening but also a lot of signs of distrust and fear of people, except for me.
By day four, Paranoid Schizophrenia, she exhibited some distrust of even me. Everyone wanted to kill her and were scheming and plotting behind her back. Saw people hiding in her closet, refused to take any meds, (poison), couldn’t go to the bathroom alone.
One of my worst experiences in my life and cannot even imagine what hellacious horror it was for her.
Day five, around 4:00A.M. I (Doctor ME) took the patch off her shoulder. By supper time she was almost back to her condition pre nursing home entry.
The love of my life joined our Lord and Savior on Oct. 27,2018 of unrelated issues.
Looks like the DNC plan to destroy America is working.
But how hard would it be for a decently funded terrorist organization to get their hands on a few KGs? For that matter, the Cartels aren’t too far removed from a terrorist organization. I’m not real comfortable with these dirtbags having tons of this crap at their disposal. As far as China is concerned, they’re mostly just interested in eroding our society I think. They understand the deleterious effect that widespread opiate addiction has on a society. Read about the Opium Wars and the subsequent Chinese century of humiliation.
