Tax dollars. That is hilarious. They don’t have any tax dollars to spend. They are using deficit dollars. They could never spend the kind of money they spend if they had to get it from taxes. People would never allow it. But they can create dollars using the debt ceiling and spend them as much as they want and people are blissfully unaware that their grandchildren will be living in tents under the freeway because they won’t be able to afford to pay it all back. It’s too abstract. It’s like living on credit cards. You don’t know you are screwed until you can’t make the payments.
