Sounds like he was killing it for sport and not just to get rid of it. In related news: python season opened today here in Florida.

Great! Now that the latest season of Swamp People has ended, I'm looking forward to the next season of Swamp People: Serpent Invasion. Hopefully there will be a Season 3 later this year or early next year.

Florida should offer out of state invasive species harvest licenses. All you can haul iguanas, pythons, and lion fish. $10. I think it would be a great vacation. The state would make a couple bucks getting rid of them instead of wasting money. Maybe a few bums could get off the dole by being guides. People like me would spend money there and go home with coolers of meat.

Its worth a try.
