A highly organized crew of squeegee men marked Monday’s unofficial start of summer by aggressively wiping down windshields just blocks from Times Square — using buckets of water from the nearby Port Authority bathroom.

The Post watched as four squeegee men converged on cars and SUVs waiting on West 40th Street near Ninth Avenue under the supervision of a fifth man who directed them like an air traffic controller.

I grew up in the NYC area during the turmoil of the 60's 70's 80's and early 90's ... it became an Oasis of what a large city can become during the latter 90's 00's and mid 10's .. then the Dems took over once again and here we are once again, back to the mayhem.

I keep telling my NYC friends *NOT* to vote Democrat, but they just laugh at me like I got three heads. They'll learn soon enough.

You get a fist-sized dent on your door.

There’s some faulty wiring in the leftist brain that interferes with the connection between action and consequence, at least in the context of political beliefs. It can’t be fixed but does, on rare occasion, right itself over time.

They'll crack your windshield. Maybe not right now, but give it time as they get more aggressive and it'll happen eventually ... just like in the 'bad ol' days' of the 1980's

The first hazard to go when Guiliani became mayor was the squeegee men. We then knew we had a mayor who meant business.
Deep in di Blasio’s soul lies the beating heart of a squeegee man. They were the first to come back when he was elected. Ny had too many horses and not enough squeegee men in his view of things.

We should support these disabled American veterans who have been given a raw deal by their government.

I worked in NYC at the tail-end of the Dinkins administration and the beginning of the Giuliani administration and the improvement was amazing.

Unfortunately, NYC demographics have changed enough now that it is impossible to elect another Giuliani.

NYC needs to be abandoned in place, quarantined, and a wall built around it.

Around the 47 second mark of this 1972 music video, you see one of the infamous squeegee men in action.

Not sure if it's NYC or LA - but that's what's coming to both cities.

I would agree, but that's a somewhat different issue (however related) ... we're talking about general street mayhem here, and deBlasshole and his ilk are entirely responsible for this mayhem.

"...what happens if you don't pay..."

The less aggressive squeegee men will provide a "special final buff" to non-payers using a filthy rag soaked in dirty motor oil to render windshield totally cloudy.

I’d say do the “rainX” treatment to all of the windows on your car. All wiper fluid should be the orange “rainX”. The oily rag won’t work, the squeegee and water will not work, and it will just run off.

He’s right. NYC will NOT be coming back any time soon.

When Giuliani got in, the city and state were still sane and the demographics supported sanity. It was the banking and TV center of the world and commercial real estate in NYC was gold.

All that is gone. The “magic dirt” has been salted over by orcs, turd worlders and fktards. Goldman Sachs even left. Midtown and Times Square are turninng to s**t.

See ya.
