The difference between the MMR and the so-called Covid Vaccines is that the MMR is actually licensed by the FDA for use as a vaccine. The others are merely authorized for emergency use.

The FDA may eventually license the Covid shots, but that will only happen after the rigorous studies that must take place. Some of those studies may take up to two years to complete.

The two year wait is not mandatory, but it is the logistical reality.

“Wasted all 5 times I went to the Denver office to file my case.”

It wasn’t wasted — for THEM. Now you’ve officially been flagged as a troublemaker, and life will be hell for you from now on. I worked in diabolical HR, and I’ve seen it.

I can see it as a requirement for new hires but existing employees? Probably not. My employers is strongly recommending we get vaccinated but it haven’t shown any indication that they’ll require it. I can see them requiring masks for the un-vaccinated but that’s it.
—————————
Companies can implement new policies all the time.

Don’t agree? Quit.

Seems MOST of these companies high on the “let’s require vaccinations list” are either low-paying service sector jobs or education providers.

Sue, sue, sue is not an option for especially these low-paid service sector employees, when the choice is by employed and survive or be unemployed and homeless.

From CNBC:

A broad majority of U.S. employers, 65%, plan to offer employees incentives to get vaccinated and 63% will require proof of vaccination, according to an ASU/Rockefeller Foundation survey.

Overall, 44% will require all employees to get vaccinated, 31% will just encourage vaccinations and 14% will require some employees to get vaccinated.

That’s a lot of companies requiring vaccinations. I’m suspecting that a majority of the 8.1 million unfilled menial labor jobs will.

I learned on another thread that people who are hesitant about getting the experimental vaccine are akin to crazy flat-earthers.

So I’m gonna run right out and get shot. /s

The only difference is some whiny stupid people are up in arms about the covid vaccine.

It’s licensed. Suck it up.

It was H1B Indian recruiters I filed complaints about. Yeah, I’m pretty much black-listed in my industry, and I know it. That’s why I had to relocate to another country and forget about having gainful employment in the US every again in my industry.

That’s the liability factor yet untested in the courts.

Absent federal legislation originating in Congress, there is no immunity from civil liability for businesses which mandate the shots.

The EEOC has no authority on this and OSHA has already said companies mandating a vaccine take on the results.

Employees can call companies “former employers” too.

“And this ruling means you can’t get EEOC help.”

You never could get help from the EEOC on such matters. They do not have authority on such matters. Might as well hear from the garbage man about this.

If they can’t pass the ‘infrastructure’ bill, ain’t gonna happen, particularly if they can’t garner full FDA approval which, frankly, is highly unlikely even before the end of 2022.

That is incorrect.

It is NOT licensed. It is merely authorized. Not the same thing from a legal perspective.

I have had the virus. I do not need the vaccine.

Consequences will not be uniform. Certain noncompliant individuals deemed essential to the enterprise will face no consequences at all. The Business Judgment Rule will be deployed to justify this.

Whining over quibbles. Authorized for use is authorized for use. And from a legal perspective no it does not matter. It’s the difference between a declaration of war and authorization of use of force. There is none.

I know a couple of people who’ve gotten it more than once. Fast mutators are a problem, the imuno reaction you get from getting it might that useful (depending on a LOT of variables). I’m not going to tell you to get it cause honestly I don’t give a #$%^ but if you’re assuming you’re immune it’s just like any other ass-u-me.

Do you realize how unreasonable you appear when you say things like this?

I’m not reasonable. I’m tired of morons doing their moron stuff presenting stupid arguments that any half bright 10 year old can clearly see are factually incorrect. Screw reason. Been arguing with anti-vax morons for 20 years, reason didn’t work, so I gave up on that. Time to just point out they’re idiots.

I know this was a typo.

Kind of funny though.

You are now forever on record with an admission.

There are a great many 60+ Americans still working in key infrastructure, production and maintenance positions. Tail-end Boomers.

That would be me, and probably a lot of other freepers. Turned 62 this year, so I'm eligible for SS, though at the reduced rate. I could withstand it if necessary, I believe.
