“My son had the first shot but doesn’t want to take the second,” said Trau, who is fully vaccinated. “He felt unwell after the first shot and just doesn’t want the second.”
Abergil’s decision comes down to personal mistrust of the shots. “I’m concerned about the vaccines,” he said. “My concern is what impact they’ll have on us in 15 years — we just don’t know.”

A major center of the Haredi community, in Beit Shemesh only 29.5% of the population have received a first shot and 26% have received both shots. These figures are around half the national averages.
Some Beit Shemesh residents say they have been won around to vaccines for themselves, but aren’t so sure when it comes to their kids, which is significant as Israel is expected to soon become the first country to offer shots to all teenagers.

JNS.org – Senior rabbis in Israel on Tuesday issued a decree urging the ultra-Orthodox public to receive the coronavirus vaccine, declaring that “according to all acceptable medical parameters, it has been proven that the vaccines are safe.”
The decree was issued by rabbis Chaim Kanievsky, Gershon Edelstein, Shalom Cohen and Elimelech Firer, considered Israel’s greatest poskim (decisors). It is believed that the decree will he helpful in curbing morbidity in the haredi community.

Interesting, so the Rabbis must be referring to the totally non-existing long term studies on these vaccines, many using totally new MRNA technology.
Maybe they travelled in the future and came back with total certainty that they cannot possibly cause long term unintended consequences.
“Safe” but undocumented side effect, because its still unknown, that it sterilizes you. And you will never know until its too late to fix it.
I don’t care about that happening to myself, nor does my wife. But my kids? Why risk that possibility when the kids aren’t even all that affected by the virus?
I’m old and probably still wouldn’t have gotten sick for more than a week if I had caught the virus. But who needs to get sick for even a week when a free vaccine is available? So I got the shots a few months ago, and, so far, so good.
Yeah, totally. Sounds legit. Who needs to get sick even for a week when you can just be a lab rat for untested drugs, right? A few months, eh? Well, since a normal testing cycle would be 10 years, I’d say you’ve got about 9 1/2 left to find out whether your brilliant decision making worked out or not. Best of luck with that.

No, it is not criminal and this vaccine roll out is important. You are now seeing its fruits as the country is now being able to open up as deaths and hospitalizations go down (just as president Trump predicted).
If you want to see criminal go to India or Brazil and get back to me as their strategies have killed a lot of people unnecessarily.
Posting misleading information (as many do on this board) on these safe and effective vaccines is disappointing at times.

The numbers for any virus go down in warmer months. Especially when the parameters for testing changed with the new regime in DC - the numbers during President Trump’s time were inflated dramatically for political gain. This is undeniable.

The reason why the young don’t really need it (unless they are fat and spend all their days playing video games) is the level of D3 in thier bodies. All you need to fight this crap is D3, zinc, vit C and magnesium.

You should take a taste of your own medicine re “misleading information”. I think the phrase, “safe and effective vaccines” can be legitimately used:
1. When the shots actually ARE “vaccines”, and
2. In 10-15 years when the industry-standard testing period ends.
