Every single person involved in every single story, from the talking heads in the studio, to the reporters, to the people being interviewed were black, with the exception of one asian.
It’s not just Chicago. If you look at ads you’d think America is at least 50% black. I’ve been getting e-mails from the University I graduated from showing how wonderful it is and how I should send them money. Thing is virtually every picture is of black or other colored person and they all tout the importance of ‘diversity. But when I check the current demographics, it’s at least 80% white & Asian.

It might be because even though they are a small part of the population, they are the major demographic that still watches real time broadcast television. Most of the rest of us stream, with the exception of live sports.
