Auditors hired by the Arizona state Senate backtracked Tuesday from claims that a key database had been deleted from Maricopa County's elections servers -- admitting in a hearing held by the Senate Republicans overseeing the audit that the data is intact and they'd been looking the wrong way...
But, Maricopa County officials explained and auditors acknowledged Tuesday, those conducting the audit had made a technical mistake and the database was never deleted...
RAID arrays, used in enterprise servers, are designed for redundancy: They split data among multiple hard drives in a way that allows the data stored on those drives to be maintained and automatically reconstructed in the event that a drive within the array fails.
However, RAID arrays can be constructed in a number of different ways, and Cotton said auditors did not know which construction Maricopa County had used -- which would have left them unable to fully access the contents of the server...

Pow! Boom! Zap!
And that about wraps it up.
So much for the contempt charges that Ward was pushing.
Databases rebuilt to say what they need to say and that’s about it.
You can’t totally erase data and I bet some folks had these systems backed up by a SAN.
They weren't rebuilt. They were there all the time.
CNN is hilarious. They report this finding as if they actually reported the initial report of the database erasure. The only way CNN viewers knew there were reports of a missing database is thru reading reports offline and getting nervous about it.
It was never erased, the auditors just made an embarrassing technical error, which led the president to make a false allegation. It is amateur hour over there apparently.
No, actually, they erased the data. The fact that the auditors were able to recover the data doesn’t Chang the fact that MC eraced it.
I listened to the Senate hearing this afternoon. What CNN stated is false, surprise surprise. What the auditor said was the data WAS deleted, but that they were able to successfully recovery it fully and that the issue is moot from there audit viewpoint as they now have the data. Who deleted it and when is still an open question, and that is certainly destruction of evidence and in violation of AZ election law. Doubt it will be pursued, but the reality is completely different than CNN claims.
I do hope the folk doing this audit know what they are doing. The opposition will jump on any technical errors to discredit the whole enterprise.
Read the article.
The "auditors" didn't know how to configure the RAID array when they restored the data and missed the fact that the files were there the whole time.
“backtracked” bs. they still deleted the database (committed the crime). the ninjas just recovered it the hard way by re-linking the data blocks, because whoever did the deed for maricopa/dominion didn’t have the computer savvy to wipe the drive.
It’s totally false what CNN is saying.
"XiNN" - and the freepers who post their FakeNews as if it's a fact...
that’s not what i heard the auditor say in the senate meeting video.
You’ll never convince the FR trolls...
This is turning into a fuster cluck
If one is going to call themself a a cyber ninja, they should be able to reconstruct a RAID array. If the county was trying to interfere, this was a softball.
Thanks for this.
Note that this information is bouncing off the DU troll who posted the article...
XiNN is lying, as is their wont.
