Texas had under 1000 cases today. At that rate for a year, a grand total of 1% of Texans will get infected. Of those, the vast majority will not get very sick.

A huge reason why is the CDC quietly instructed all US States at least two weeks ago not to report breakthrough cases where the vaccinated tested positive for Covid - unless they die or are hospitalized. Epidemics have a tendency to do that.
Only 10% of Israelis got COVID-19, but it’s basically gone there now. Down from 10,000 cases per day to 30 (yes, 30) and falling. Down from 100 deaths per day to 0-1. Yes, zero or one death per day in the whole country. All of Israel’s neighbors are seeing COVID cases and deaths rise or remain steady. Only Israel has won the fight.
They did so by mass vaccination. They paid Pfizer extra money for each dose to get to the front of the line. And now life is back to 2019 normal in Israel, businesses are open, and nobody’s getting COVID.
Cases defined as tested positive from a nonsense test? Any symptoms required?
Considering the ridiculous number of false positives from this test, the reality is that there ain’t much of a plague left.
