I am shocked no enemy pounces but why should they when many are paid by this fake administration in “aid”, comfort and turning a blind eye while they are the enemy.
What’s Biden’s response going to be? To apologize to China?
Let me put a question to you all...
Which of the following do you think is a greater priority at today’s Pentagon?
A. Planning for a war with the likes of China
or
B. Purging the ranks of racists, homophobes, transphobes and Trump supporters
Deep down, I think we all know the answer to this.
It would seem to me that we hold their economic fate. If they were to attack our assets in a serious way, we would just repudiate all debt held by them, nationalize any holdings in the US and cease doing business with them.
I expect that the US’s close allies would follow suit (but these days who knows). We’d have to make do for a while, re-learn manufacturing, etc..
It would hurt them a lot more than us as their standard of living crashes and ours dips.
GP is the most posted and linked site here on FR.
It is sad.
Gateway Pundit, though...
We have UFO’s that will drive anyone insane.
The CCP has been passing out bunches of walking around money for years.
It should be no problem for us. After all, we have pilots in maternity suits.
Sadly, I agree with you.
The article is flat-out lying.
Even Trump did nothing about China’s huge trade surplus.
Nobody is doing a darned thing.
Nobody.
No, the Three Gorges Dam. That'd keep 'em busy for a while, and give them some comeuppance for their damned virus.
Of course with the current administration that's just wishful thinking.
Doubt it will ever come to a hot war. The Second Cold War will end with both sides severely bankrupted and their respective people getting rid of their ruling elites. China’s sole advantage is that it’s their neighborhood (East Asia / S China Sea) and will be long after a bankrupt US loses its ability to force project into Asia.
We might see a couple of flare ups. China might try to invade Taiwan. They might find it worth their time to back regimes in Cuba and Venezuela. But at that point, the U.S. is more likely to ignore Cuba and Venezuela, rather than intervene unless we see a version of the Cuban Missile Crisis. I doubt that the Chinese will be that bold but you never know.

The idea that China would defeat US militarily is dumb. It would be more like the Cold War with the US in place of USSR. It is already taking place as we speak.
“Now listen here, Chow Yun Fat. Will you shut up man? What are you even talking about? Hello? Yes, I’d like a number 27 with pork fried rice and a Pepsi.”
#13. Wouldn’t work. The two Red Chinese carriers in the dry docks are not real threats in and of themselves. Only the one at sea if it has nuclear weapons.
We could take it out in a second, but would have to deal with their mosquito swarm fleets of small military crafty with lots of missiles, some of which would get thru to hit our carriers/escorts.
Our best weapon is an EMP (Pulse) bomb over their C&C centers, esp. their nuclear missile sites. By crippling or destroying their communications and signals equipment, they would have a hard time getting off a counter-launch, unless they have secret underground/mountain sites we don’t know about.
That’s the same problem we have with the Russians and Iranians. It’s not what you see that is the major threat. It’s what “you don’t see” that is. Remember Cuba, 1962?
