"OxyContin is extremely dangerous, and unless an individual requires immediate relief from extreme pain—say, from a horrific accident, medical procedure, or disease—it’s best avoided."

... which is why it was developed.

I was shocked to find that they gave oxycontin to my 18 year old nephew for his wisdom teeth surgery! What? Were they trying to get a teenager addicted?

He LOVED them - said he couldn’t wait until his next dose! Scary stuff!

When I had my wisdom teeth surgery in the 1980’s all I got was some Tylenol3 for the day or two of pain - you get over and it and get on with your life! It’s crazy what they’re doing now!
