Actually, I think Germany was quite ready, at least for WWII.
I guess the humor was lost, but my point was that the aggressor is certainly the most prepared.
Your original post made me think that unpreparedness is likely causal.
War does not happen (so much) when all sides are prepared. An aggressor waits for the victim to be off guard. Things like the Maginot Line were an idiotic kind of preparation which actually begged to be humiliated for all to see.
I understand, but as I said, what’s coming will be so catastrophic, no one, not even the Islamic Jihadist aggressors will be ready for it.
