That’s an important point. I grew up close to a steel mill that rolled steel for WW 2 ships and tanks. The whole place was torn down. So it’s not like you can fire up that mill again tomorrow.
There was a live steel mill IN BROOKLYN producing steel for the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Today? It would be contributing to the Climate Emergency.
