Denmark decides not to use Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine over rare blood clots.

Denmark will not use the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the Danish Health Authority announced on Monday, saying in a statement that the country could make adequate progress using other vaccines and did not need to run the risk of a rare, dangerous blood clotting condition that may be linked to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The country has halted administering the AstraZeneca vaccine for similar reasons, after two people died of blood clots after being given that vaccine.

Denmark had been planning to use the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine before reports emerged about a possible link to the clotting condition, which seems to mainly affect younger women. Dropping the vaccine from its plans will set back the country’s timetable for vaccinating adults under 40 by about a month, Danish officials said.

The United States temporarily suspended using the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, but the Food and Drug Administration announced on Friday that it would be made available again, with a warning about the possible clotting risk added to its label.

The European Medicines Agency, the regulatory body for the European Union, has also endorsed use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine with an added warning.

The Danish Health Authority, however, said it had independently investigated the vaccine and decided against using it.

She is very anti-vax. Thinks it’ll kill you basically. I tried to say that’s not so, but she’s keeps saying it’s a government conspiracy. But if I say the word ‘conspiracy’ she’ll deny that part.

Recently, I passed a free j&j shot site set up in a dirt and gravel lot with cones separating two drive ups.

Not surprisingly, both "lanes" were empty, with no takers in sight.

My Dr told me a week ago that he almost died of covid last fall

He asked me if I got, or was going to get the shot.

When I said no, he just said OK, and that was the end of if.

Hoping some dexterity comes back. Using a keyboard takes me a while to get my thoughts out, along with an occasional word I’m trying to say

So why is it so hard to make a traditional vaccine...especially over a year in this mess?

Keep up the good work. Do you have to have any therapy? Just rest?

Prayers for your continued healing and progress.

Thank you!

This is my second, so I know I won’t likely luck out again.

Not sure if working anymore is in the cards yet though

There’s one being made by Novavax which is supposed to be made available soon. It had good clinical trials.

I got the J&J on Monday. I’m a bit sore all over, and I couldn’t breathe well yesterday, but other than that I’m generally okay. -shrug-

It’s not worth pulling for literally six in a million.

That said, if I wasn’t immune suppressed, I wouldn’t have bothered. My brother sure isn’t.

ICU physicians themselves are reporting that they are seeing vaxxinated people being admitted as patients in ICUs, & even the CDC is reporting post-vax CV19 (called breakthrough) infections.

The vaxxers are making it worse.

How many vaccines have you tried to make?

The benefit/harm ratio of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine varies with age. The younger you are, the less the risk from Covid-19, and the greater the risk from vaccine side-effects.

I agree 15out of 7 million is rare. But why trust media reports ( or CDC) in this when with any other news reports on almost anything are not to be trusted??

Denmark has only over 5 mil people with maybe 3 mil to be vaccinated with J&J if they don’t count children and over 65 that get Pfizer/Moderna. If the rate of cases is only 2/mil? Maybe is not.

I don’t personally make any, you?

But they make a flu shot every year.

And they make vaccines using the actual bug they are fighting rather routinely.

Somehow this can’t be done with this one.

Must be a reason. Or not. Just asking folks smarter than me.
