Only a small percentage of illegal aliens are working in agriculture.
They have taken over most of the construction, food processing and hospitality jobs.

But most of the people working in agriculture are illegals.

The ironic thing about illegals is that they may end up being at the upper end of society in a generation or two. The reason I say that is because it takes a certain amount of initiative, risk taking, courage and intelligence to get into this country illegally. All qualities necessary for success.

I hope we don’t spoil them by making it too easy for them once they enter the country, which we are starting to do.

Having said that I’m not in favor of illegal immigration. I want to know and select who comes into this country, because with an open border you allow bad people to come in.

A nice new house is being built near me, a major source of entertainment around here. And often discussed.

I have noticed that ALL the younger workers appear to be Hispanic.

If you sweat on the job, the younger workers are all Hispanic.

Landscapers, tree trimmers, concrete work...

One of my neighbors says, on the larger jobs, they receive minority preference and Anglos cannot compete?
