Don't need DNS to get to FR: https://45.79.56.181/tag/*/index Also you can choose a reliable DNS, or use a VPN.

The Chinese could take control of some US root servers at various universities, but it would be kind of obvious and pretty easy to mitigate. The Chinese could infiltrate ISPs and do blocking, redirection, and/or various types of spying which would be less easy to detect. They would just need some strategic insiders.

Biden can’t wait to have the CCP totally in control of the internet. It’s the ultimate excuse! “Come on, man! You know China runs the internet, we can’t do nothing!”

Maybe we need to fund some Red Blooded, Fly-Over Country Based, Servers of our own!

And create a program that makes it easy to reconfig one's personal computer to point to those new root servers.

When one aims to takeover the world, you look for them to attack every control item in your life (with Hunter Biden and his father’s help).

Cannot use the address you listed:

Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for 45.79.56.181. The certificate is only valid for the following names: freerepublic.com, www.freerepublic.com

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

And their enforcement arm will be Google, and their parent company Alphabet, which already controls the flow of information to the public, not just in the free world, but within China, with extremely close monitoring google by the CCP, Chinese intelligence and PLA.

Google happily goes along with CCP’s restrictions. Google makes a ton of money from Chinese Intelligence.

Your browser is more strict than mine. Mine allowed me to add an exception and allow the certificate to be used for that IP address. It's not a security lapse to use an incorrect cert to protect confidentiality (link encryption). It is a security flaw to use an incorrect cert to authenticate a website.

I looked up and sent you the IP so it is authentic. But your browser obviously cannot know that.

That's kind of the whole idea of certificates. It guarantees that the website is legitimate and actually belongs to the organization to which you're visiting.
