You're right about that. The wild card is the variants. Will they be deadlier for young people? We just don't know. It appears that COVID-19 is mutating just like influenza.

All viruses mutate. Coronaviruses have been with us since the beginning, just like Influenza. Mankind has been able to overcome both for thousands of years.

COVID-19 is just a polite way to say Scamdemic.

The so called vaccine may not help against a variation either, though, so my personal recommendation would be the same.
