I can’t imagine any other reason, since “journalistic integrity” hasn’t mattered much to these operations for years, and there’s little chance their reputations will ever be restored, retractions and corrections notwithstanding.
Still, I have little doubt the average low information voter is still under the impression Rudy is crooked (and PDJT by extension), or his office wouldn’t have been raided.
