Make a few thousand copies of the drive onto usb sticks and mail them to every governor and federal judge along with all supposed ‘investigative’ journalists. Oh, and be sure to mail at least one to good ol chris wray at the fbi.

Depends what they leak. If it’s communications with foreigners, then the FBI will claim “national security breach” and the leaker is in a whole lot of trouble. If it’s drug use or pornography, they nail you for “trafficking”.
I think what the FBI is after is evidence of coordinated activity for the January 6th riot — anything they could tied to Trump. Secondly, they might be looking for any evidence of the Trump strategy on the state election audits. Right now the Democrats look pretty spooked about the revelations coming out of Arizona.
Every county sheriff in the country, 2500+/- of them..........

No surprise. Media is the most evil of our country. In someways worse then democrats. Close but media’s tad worse due to exposure and message direction as they deem fit.
Indeed if they did take them it would have to show up in their report and it would put the Hunter cover up plan at risk.
I don’t know if I’d have wanted the FBI to take it. We already know they have a copy of it anyway, and from what I understand, there is no ‘safe harbor’ for child porn (which is apparently on the drive). Possession = guilt.
Taking hard-drives (and why do you have them, Rudy?) that are not listed on a search warrant is illegal search and seizure. It’s would be fruit of the poisonous tree and a major no-no and could jeopardize the entire case. You would think a former US attorney would know this. You would also think a lawyer would know covert surveillance of peoples accounts is legal and happens all the time. When you get served a federal warrant-a federal judge believes there is PC a crime has been committed. This is first year law school stuff I learned in freshman year of criminal justice class. He may need to go back to school.
A warrant is supposed to “particularly describe the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
But that seems to have been lost in the last 100 years or so. Cops and Feds both go into a home and literally tear it
to pieces looking for something to hang a person on, leaving it looking like a tornado hit it. That was the whole purpose of the 4th Amendment in the first place, because the British did the same thing to American colonists before the war..............
