Senator Tim Scott delivers the Republican response to the State of the Union

I did not watch any of the nonsense last night, but if that is the major takeaway from his speech, it must have been utterly pathetic.

Do you honestly believe that the old fool garnered 80 million votes when he could not even gather a crowd of fifty people during the campaign, when he reluctantly stepped out?

The man (a very nice man, I suppose...) is not the leader we need, and his message was weak tea with a slice of kumbaya. And I couldn't care less that he was one of three people crammed into one bedroom in his childhood. That log cabin bleep has been the hallmark of the Say Anything Party since log cabins were the new wave.
As for dialogue, common ground, unity and "building bridges," we are building boxcars. They will be filled and ready to roll when the Chinese Army gets here to move them.
We need to be alarmed, not soothed.

I think that Scott is a useful member of our caucus who has useful insight into issue like police reform.
But he voted to make Biden president, and as such is not an appropriate person for a speech like this.

However, he's about as useless as tits on a bull, because he's of the same mind as the majority of the Republican Caucus, whose ideology includes compromising with the Democrats.
You say he could be useful with police reform? So I take it then, that the Republicans in Congress have already rolled over, and agree that police reform is necessary? If so, that's already caving to the left.
I'm sorry, but no one is useful to you, me, or this country, if they won't stand up for basic rights for every American Citizen, won't assure that elections are free, and fair, and is willing to compromise with the Democrat Commies in Congress. He did say he was willing to find "common ground" with them. What is the "common ground" with Commies?

I would agree based on individual capabilities but don’t think two southerners are best way to present a national ticket.
