I've seen Southern California several times on an intimate basis, having hiked large sections of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail from 2012 through 2016. I started at Campo and ended at Sonoro Pass, just west of Bridgeport. (1,018 trail miles) ;0) Tremendous adventures for an Illinois flatlander. Good Times!
