I was fortunate enough to hear Grace Hopper speak in person, at a gathering around 1984 or so.

Because men will not follow women.
Don’t know if she actually performed at any of the officer’s clubs at Pearl Harbor, Hickam, and the Submarine base, but “Alexandra the great 48” was very well acquainted with them during the Viet Nam Era.
Maybe they will now that men want to wear dresses.
I strongly disagree. Any man that won't follow a woman simply because they are a woman deserves scorn and sanction. In the military courts martial and dishonorable discharge. Good leaders are not a matter of gender any more than it is of race.
Sometimes I seriously wonder about some of the folks here on FR.
Man, that movie sucked. I saw it only because there was nothing else interesting at the time, and I was hoping against my better judgment that maybe they wouldn’t go crazy with the “grrrrl power” feminist BS. Well, so much for that hope; they laid it on thick as I should have known.
That’s what a girl would say.

I watched the first Captain Marvel on basic cable a couple weeks ago.
I agree with your review - very dull.
However, the movie did well in theaters - $1.13 billion - so, our critical opinions are clearly in the minority.

and this isn’t the first one that ended this way
Mam, I think what folks intend mean by related comments is that artificially elevating a lady to a position requiring being a ball busting commander or something typically reserved for alpha males will never be taken serious. Females shine in other roles within the workforce like being teachers and clinicians.
There’s a reason why there has never been a female Chinese NASCAR driver...17-point turn arounds in competition would be a killer towards having a successful team. Japanese Cowboys are usually not long-term success stories either. Pretty damn bad that the government officials in the name of PC gets away with the equivalent to the detriment of our citizens.
Just common sense isn’t it?

I would like to see the ratio of commanders relieved by stripe and I don’t mean on their sleeve.
Cats are cats and dogs are dogs and they are not interchangeable. Just a fact some people can’t deal with.

Making snap judgements, not reading the article or news story in question, etc. are tried and true features by some (well, many) FReepers. Makes one wonder if they are the same ignorant way in person.
Repeat, men will not follow women at least without reservation. Reservation leads to hesitancy and hesitancy leads to chaos and death.
Women are different than men and the difference is not just physical.
