Former U.S. Rep. Doug Collins ruled out a run for U.S. Senate or other public office in 2022, ending speculation that he could challenge newly elected Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock after a failed special election bid last year.
The Gainesville Republican had been seriously considering launching another campaign for Senate after his third-place finish in 2020 and would have been the biggest name in the still-evolving Republican field against Warnock, a pastor whose victory in January made him the first Black U.S. senator in Georgia history.
But Collins had also sent signals that he would remain in the private sector with the start of a popular new conservative talk show and joining a north Georgia law firm. In a statement Monday, Collins said it was “goodbye for now but probably not forever.”

Not sure this matters quite as much as some may believe.
Kemp and McConnell kept him out of the Senate last year. That was what was important to them.
I guess he wants to make some money. Who is really paying his salary and bonuses?
So right now the GOP leaders are Kemp for governor and the lady with the baseball cap for senator?

Guy turns 55 this year. With either Trump or Santos coming into the picture in 2024....Collins probably ends up in a cabinet post. Still young enough to run for President in 2032
The Collins “conservative vs. rino” challenge of Kelly Loefler for one of Georgia’s US Senate seats may have inadvertently given us Raphael Warnock.
GA is right on schedule to go full blue because the GOP absolutely sux. That will break the South even further.
Perhaps he’s angry the republican voter did not give him that 50+ 1% against Loeffer. That runoff gave the rats their opening and they counted on our voters not showing up. That’s what happened. Demographics played a part. Then there’s the cheating. Can’t blame him as fake racism is now the big issue these days.
Herschel is most likely running against Warnock
Vernon Jones is running against Kemp in the primaries
This makes sense for Doug Collins to stay out

I don’t blame him. Mike Lindell said he wouldn’t run for dogcatcher until elections are fixed. Why would anyone? Waste of time and money.

Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Collins for Attorney General or FBI Director in 2024 when by God’s Grace we will take this country back!!!! Hershel Walker for Senate and Vernon Jones for governor gives me happy thoughts.
Doug Collins has ZERO public appeal. How he got elected to anything in this media driven age, I’ll never understand.
He was as charismatic as drying paint.
