Putin said, “Those behind provocations that threaten the core interests of our security will regret what they have done in a way they have not regretted anything for a long time.”

Here is Iranian drone footage from above the Eisenhower. The USA no longer has a “world class military”, despite massive spending. The EU Army would be less than a joke. https://twitter.com/ASBMilitary/status/1384917404795523078

Hi friend. Just to put in a historical fact;

"In 1949, the prospect of further Communist expansion prompted the United States and 11 other Western nations to form the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The Soviet Union and its affiliated Communist nations in Eastern Europe founded a rival alliance, the Warsaw Pact, in 1955."

Have followed the debate here and you are certainly correct. NATO might be as weak as others implied but the real enemy here is Russian expansion, again. Keeping Germany tethered to western European nations, based up their history in the last century was/is a definite side benefit.

There is, IMHO, no way Xi Den's puppeteers get rough with Russia.

You're wrong. The Ukrainian revolution was foment under Obama and Biden just helped set an assassination attempt on the leader of Belarus.

All of that with the ultimate goal of overthrowing Putin.

Russia isn't the old Soviet Union and we're the ones with the hostile foreign policy against them.

Why are you so harsh on the Poles? I think they want to live.

So you think the Warsaw Uprising was wrong?

Putin want the following—The way I see it: 1) a land Bridge to Crimea. 2) re-absorb Belarus into the Russian Federation and 3) a Pro-Russian Government in Kiev. He’s moving in other ways to establish Russia in Syria (They have a Naval Base and air base now—they could use more) and bases in Egypt and eastern Libya. They may well make a pact with Poland when and if NATO crumbles. He may work in consort with Xi’s China—China moves on Philippines and Taiwan, he will snap up Georgia, Moldavia.

I think none of the above was in plans a year ago, although can’t exclude that inclusion of friendlier territories might be on menu now, in light of unfriendly encroachment.

Hey ImpBill, thanks for the correction.

I agree that keeping Germany on the Western nation’s side is
good.

Check this out dfwgator. I was incorrect on the driving force
starting up NATO.

We sure didn’t pick that up did we.

Thanks...

My only real problem with Europe’s forces at the moment is
that Russia is poised at the starting blocks, and the European
forces seem to be drinking coffee and dragging in to
breakfast.
