Last week, Mastercard, Inc., announced new rules for banks processing credit card payments to pornography websites, designed to combat child pornography and sex trafficking.

Some conservatives have been pushing for this, apparently unable to understand that "pornography websites" don't automatically mean child porn or sex trafficking, and apparently unable to understand that they'd be next on the list.

Conservatives need to understand this - any push for censorship that we back will inevitably be used against us.

Credit Card companies, Banks and other financial institutions should not be able to determine what legal business they will provide services to. If they suspect an organization is operating illegally, report them and wait for a court to determine if any laws are being broken. So I wanted to use my credit card to patronize a legal business my credit company dislikes and refuses service too. Then I should have the same right to force them to provide service just like the LGBQfghgccvb crowd does to bakeries.
