Nearly half of New York’s nursing home workers haven’t gotten the COVID-19 vaccine — so the state Department of Health is now putting more pressure on the facilities to bridge the gap, The Post has learned.
Health department brass issued new guidance late Thursday that requires nursing homes to offer “an opportunity to receive” the jab to all consenting residents and staff by April 29 and within two weeks of a new hire or a new admission, records obtained by The Post show.
Both staff and residents who opt out will need to sign paperwork acknowledging that they are declining. Facilities that don’t comply with the new rules may be penalized up to $2,000 per violation, the DOH

I had a renter working at a nursing home. She tested positive so they furloughed her with no pay for 14 days. She applied for and got a job at the local prison and started the next day. Now the nursing home is so short of personel they are desperate.
Why would anyone trust anything coming from a state with a governor who killed grandma?
But they didn’t know what would happen back then.
The fact that that weird-looking MAN from Pennsylvania who was a big shot in healthcare for the state (and now have an even bigger title at the federal level) pulled his mother out of a nursing home just before they started loading it with the sick...that was just a coincidence.
Cuomo also allowed confirmed positive staff to continue to report to work until mid-May of last year.
But nobody ever talks about that for some reason.
I don’t doubt that some of the Blacks who refuse the jabs are milking the system - I also think they’re smarter than those who took the experimental jabs with zero track record - unless killing tons of animals is a track record.
So you’re claiming that because he had what, a few hundred employees(?) vaccinated, THAT is the reason Texas has fewer cases than NY?
Meanwhile...

And NYS is still muzzled.
But then this was NEVER about public health.
NYS also counts asymptomatics as cases.
No, I’m claiming that all of Texas had the same opportunities.
True, but I know this: The restaurant I had dinner at here in Texas had this sign on the door: "Masks not required, we're at 100% capacity." The China Virus death rate this week in New York was 76 per day with 20 million population, while the rate in Texas was 55 per day with 30 million population.
That’s a very small subset. Yes, it is bad that they are milking the system. That said, 50% of Republicans are vaccine hesitant. Is it because they are smarter? No. Wiser! We don’t allow ourselves to be uncritically herded by fear, coercion, or donuts.
Agree.
No Big $$, in that, though :-(
>>Perhaps due to the fact they have not forgotten the Tuskegee experiment that began in 1932.
Yea, thats probably it ... </moron>
