Sorry Cousin Mike, but I diagree that the PRIMARY responsibility for what happened should be placed on Daunte.

50% of the responsibility perhaps because he shouldn’t have run off....nobody should run when the police are telling them to stay.

That stun gun, had she used the right gun, would have stopped the guy.

It is NOT his PRIMARY fault.

As for Ashli Babbitt.....don’t we have Republican congress people that could approach the Justice Department for answers? Yes, we should know what the story is but can’t Jim Jordan, even Mitch McConnell....hold a news conference or something to make some noise about this?

Yes police are asked to handle entirely too many things that are not their baliwick.

Remember, I was married to a cop. Got hit by a car and the driver drove off and left him laying aside the road to die. I’ve learned a thing or two by the experience.

She used her gun instead of her stun gun. After 26 years on the job she shoots a guy with the wrong gun.

That just looks bad. Can’t blame it all on the suspect as I argue.

They were doing more than telling him to stay. They were in the process of handcuffing him. He broke free and jumped into the car. He was physically resisting arrest.

The police had milliseconds to make the decision. If you have seen the video, the officer clearly believes that she is using a taser. She made a mistake under extreme duress in grabbing the wrong weapon. It could have all been avoided if the suspect had not resisted arrest or that he not had an arrest warrant for armed robbery. He was primarily responsible for his fate. His actions precipitated the response.

Why aren't they? We all know why.

Such instances are extremely rare. With over 50 million police interactions with the public annually, there are very few incidents. We only read about the exceptions. It is wrong to generalize and there needs to be some context. The police are being held to unachievable standards. They must make life and death decisions in seconds under tremendous pressure. Mistakes will be made just like doctors make mistakes. Civil damages will be assessed and the family will receive compensation for pain and suffering.

She made a mistake. I wonder how many times in her 26 years on the force in a small town she had to draw her weapon or even a taser. 20-20 hindsight in the comfort of your home is easy. Anyone watching the video can understand the stress and need for immediate action to prevent the suspect from escaping. It was a tragic accident. The officer should not be prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter.

How closely are you following the George Floyd case? Some of your statements are at odds with the facts as provided at the trial. FYI: Chauvin is 5'9" and 140 pounds. He will not get a fair trial. Jury intimidation is intense.

Maxine Waters showed yup yesterday in MN and said, ‘We are looking for a guilty verdict’. She also called for violence in the streets if Chauvin isn’t convicted of murder.

You are correct it was a mistake, but you may want to consider the following as the media continues sanctifying the victim: https://shoebat.com/2021/04/14/the-new-saint-of-the-left-wing-media-duante-wright-choked-a-woman-and-pointed-a-piston-on-her-head-demanding-that-she-give-him-820/

I'm sorry! Was the driver ever found and/or prosecuted? Did it happen in your husband's line of duty?
