It takes very little to upset some Freepers here who as is their custom easily get their pants in a knot if a Representative isn't 100% perfection in their line of thinking. They did it with Trump as well... because they don't understand the game nor the board that's being played on...nor do they want to.

I frankly like her because she's doing what she thinks is best for her state, not what's trending in the political climate...and she knows her states whole picture.

“I am a skeptic about the lady and this is troublesome for me as I originally supported her.”

If she wasn’t so good-looking, I’d like be upset with her over the Tranny bill, but I’m simply sick of ugly looking people in the White House, so who cares where she is on the issues!!!

I’d prefer they were never sent to any state or city at all......rather back across the border and let them find their own way home or wherever.

I know lots of Freepers were unhappy with Governor’ Noem’s veto of HB 1217, but I think she may have been right. There’s much good in the bill, but the litigation provisions at the end could turn into a nightmare. Here’s the text.

13-67-5. Cause of Action.

If a student is deprived of an athletic opportunity or if a student suffers direct or indirect harm, as a result of this Act being violated, that student has a private cause of action for injunctive relief, damages, and any other relief available under law, against the violating entity.

If a student is subjected to retaliation or other adverse action, as a result of reporting a violation of this Act to an employee or representative of a school, school district, institution of higher education, athletic association or organization, or to a state or federal governmental entity having oversight authority, that student has a private cause of action for injunctive relief, damages, and any other relief available under law, against the school, school district, institution of higher education, or athletic association or organization.

If a school, school district, or institution of higher education suffers any direct or indirect harm, as a result of this Act being violated, that school, school district, or institution of higher education has a private cause of action for injunctive relief, damages, and any other relief available under law, against the governmental entity, licensing or accrediting organization, or athletic association or organization.

A civil action under this section must be initiated within two years from the date the harm occurred.

Any person prevailing on a claim brought under this section is entitled to monetary damages, including for psychological, emotional, and physical harm suffered, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, and any other appropriate relief.

I’m glad as well...and my hope is other Governors will join this refusal to accept Bidens upcoming voters and drag on their systems.

The power of the states to remove illegals has been eroding since the 19th century. But, it wasn’t until a Supreme Court case from almost a decade ago - Arizona v. United States - did the Court foreclose the state’s ability to enforce immigration laws.

The best a state can do is inquire to a person’s citizenship status during the course of an otherwise legal interaction. I believe that they can still detain a suspected illegal, but only for a finite period of time, usually the length of time it takes ICE to show up and now - under Biden - simply release the illegals again.

I guess the state could keep arresting the same illegal as soon as they walked out of the jail after being released by ICE. But, if that happened, an injunction would surely be sought and granted...making it all Kabuki theater, as I said. When Arizona lost that case, it really ended the legal debate.

Kristi chooses her battles wisely.

She is not a knee-jerk Republican conservative.

Well as I see it she is a strong player for her state...and looks like she will concede when she knows she has a bigger fight to win....the small stuff you can always go back and change...as Trump said.

Well the city gets paid for each child they settle...be it in tents or whatever. We already know the Dems really don’t give a dang abut where or who is taking care of these kids any more than the parents of the kids do.....because it’s all about the money and numbers.
