In my church, we didn’t have actual pews before CoVid lockdowns. We had chairs that attached to each other with the hymnal in a holder that connected the two chairs.

Ever since churches opened back up, our pastor separated all the chairs by six feet and they are staggered. It’s been that way this whole time. I don’t think it’s back to 30% capacity yet, even though the state has let up some on the orders.

What that means in reality is that families cannot sit next to each other. There is still separation. Sure, you are near each other, but how does that work for families with young children? It doesn’t.

It makes me very sad.
