I wish Trump would disassociate himself from the odious GOP.

A REAL leader just doesn’t fit in a FAKE party.

No. He's taking it over, it's happening, the old farts are retiring, the new blood in the GOP is all from Trump.

I wouldn’t be so quick to attach my name to those vaccines. The jury is still out.

History repeats. As between 1855 and 1861, there is again in America a dearth of competent political leadership in modern day America that will lead to dreadful things. The nation has been served by the likes of Ryan, Pelosi, Sessions, Schumer, Newsom, Cuomo, Rice, Obama, Biden, McConnell and the rest of the AOC headlined clown parade. Trump was a well meaning political novice who had virtually no help and simply was never able to fully control the levers of power.Nor could he prevent the election from being stolen from him. Sorry but that is just the way it was and remains.

Pretty mild compared to what others have called him.

The Senate is a different animal, than the House. I say vote out every incumbent GOP member in the House and get new blood in there. Not so easy with the Senate, because of the six-year terms, you’re going to have to make compromises with them.

That’s a good point about having a team. Trump never had that luxury. It was a big factor that enabled the GOP operatives to undermine him.

Strong backing by the GOP could have made a big difference. But they chose to undermine him instead.

Imagine what he could have done with a united party behind him.

We will never Make America Great Again by re-electing Assistant Democrats.

****************

As much as I detest Ryan, its the rank and file in the House GOP that allowed him to stay in power.

People keep singling out the bad GOP leaders but its the party as a whole that enables them in every instance.

Time will tell but I think Trump probably should avoid his association with the “vaccine”.

"Trump said he recently told Pence that he was still disappointed in him for not intervening to stop the congressional certification of President Biden’s election win — something the VP didn’t have the authority to do."

I'm not clear how McConnell blew it, but I'm pretty sure that with all the obvious fraud, Pence could have sent the Certification process back to the State Legislatures on Jan.6. Am I correct?

In the Posts opinion Pence didn’t have the authority.

Question do they think a Dem VP would have hesitated if the tables were turned.?

I agree with that, and I think Trump does too, but there are individual cases where it may make strategic sense to consider political realities(i.e. Florida). They could go against Rubio and he still gets the nomination, and if Rubio loses the nomination, the seat could still go to the Democrats.

145 voted to keep Liz Cheney in leadership.

That’s what they want for leadership.
