My oldest brother also had a detached retina about 12 years ago and had to do the face-down thing, I think for “only” a week or so. Then my wife had cornea transplants in both eyes a few years ago, and had to look at the ceiling for three days straight. I had to wait another few days to take her home, because of the elevation difference.
Good results for both of them, I’m happy to say. It’s amazing that eye doctors can do so much now. I have had cataract surgery on both eyes, as has my wife, and several other family members have had one form or another of lasik.
I have lost a lot of vision in one eye due to glaucoma. I really rely on my “good eye” and can’t imagine how bad it would be to lose it. Praying that Dan’s surgery is successful. He’s a RINO, but deserves respect for his service and sacrifice.
Bump
See you later!
Get well.
Face down: A good opportunity to dictate a biography or other book.
Good thought.
He has been through a lot.
Like him or not.
My neighbor had that procedure. Head down for more than a week. Awful.
