If your engine can push to such speeds, you don't need any wings.
They will just slow down the "plane" anyway.
It's no longer a plane, it's a rocket, going faster than a satellite in orbit.
It may be possible some day but not on Joe's watch.

That was kind of my point. Any current commercial craft would have the wings and tale yanked off at half that speed.
