The Keating Five was a disgrace. Maybe some of them were fooled, but I think McCain was an enabler. Keating was from his home state, so he probably knew him well. I’d bet Keating was a big political contributor as well.

People forget that McCain was the ONLY Republican involved in that scandal. He and John Glenn were let off easy. I'm betting both sang like birds.
