And higher end white collar jobs, largely finance/accounting/strategy. Although the Corp effort to change that has started as well, one of the reasons I want to be able to retire in 6-8 years in mid to upper 40s and I encourage the younger guys to save like crazy. At least at my level I get a big severance check if that day comes although very hard to replace me at my company.

As I said, all white-collar jobs are being filled with the Dot Indian invasion. Forgot a big one. Insurance and Medical. Instead of pleasant Filipina nurses, more and more smelly foul dot Indians are being hired as well. Remember there are 1.4 billion of them vs. 330 million Americans and they are like locusts in any job. Once they start moving into an area, that’s it for the natives.
I should be long retired before it catches up with me, if ever, and I get a big severance check even if I do get laid off, but its one of the reasons my wife and I are not having any kids and haven’t wanted any with our ~15 years of marriage. That said, I’ve personally been very impressed by Indian Americans here. They speak English well, work hard and invest in their families and communities, and many of them own companies, hotels, stores, etc that create a lot of jobs also. ~60% of hotels in the US are owned by Indian Americans, for example. They have also been very nice people in my experience.
