I used to drive my x-gf and her bike to work, but to be fair she did ride it 14 miles home every day rain or shine
In the late 1970s, a 20-something Harvard MBA came to work in my dept. at a major defense contractor. She lived 45 miles away in East Dallas and work was in East Fort Worth.
She rode her bike 90 miles each day in those biker togs and changed clothes in the ladies room. Ate one grapefruit each day at lunch...nothing else. Petit, very toned body.
She was riding on major highways/freeways both ways.
