I work in quality.
The issue is likely not an issue of a “low quality “ worker.
The issue is more likely inadequate procedures developed very quickly or even on the fly. Everyone wants to cash in on Covid.
There’s a saying in quality that if there’s a problem, it’s not because of human error but an error in the system. The vast majority of people want to do a good job. Sometimes companies make it difficult by poor planning.
In govt, when we used to get ridiculous deadlines to come up with detailed responses to issues, often full studies...the stock answer was
“ You want it bad? You get it bad...”
