Despite any instructions the judge might have given the jurors ("don't read papers,listen to radio or access the internet") we can be certain that they will hear all the warnings about “a firestorm” occurring if he's found not guilty. And those jurors,having heard that,might say to themselves “I'm not convinced of his guilt but I'll vote guilty in order to save the country (and my family) the catastrophic consequences of a not guilty verdict”.
The only hope he has is a Federal appeals court...but even that is a slim hope because Federal judges have families too.
Will there be an insurrection?
The only reason he won’t be acquitted is jury folds to the pressure of knowing what will happen if they don’t convict.
Look back to last year, the Democrats were raising money to bailout rioters, led by our current VP and soon to be President...
So called health experts excused the rioting as a necessary event, Covid be damned....
If Chauvin is acquitted everyone living in a major city had better have a plan to defend themselves...
Communist countries and other dictatorships indulge in political show trials. The purpose of a show trial is to demonstrate the power* of the government. There is never any doubt about the outcome of a show trial. None. The people advocating for show trials believe that THEY will never be effected by the legal system. They may be right. Then again, maybe not. There’s really no telling. One of the reason dictators frequently destroy their own supporters is to create such fear in the rest that there will never be disloyalty. So, loyalty and service will not protect you.
* I am reminded of a meme. An obvious woman liberal hippie type is demonstrating. She is being hosed down with a stream of pepper spray from what appears to be a fire extinguisher. Above her head is written, “wants more government.” The guy doing the hosing is a cop. Above head is written, “more government.”
And why is THIS not considered a ‘dog whistle,’ signaling to the Leftists, the Anarchists, the Antifa, the BLM crowd that it will be okay to riot when the cop is ultimately acquitted?
They are the ones promoting "hate".

I actually believe Van Jones, Antifa and BLM are hoping and praying for a not guilty verdict.

I forced myself to watch parts of the beginning of this "trial" and the basic facts will proven that the cop did not kill {charged with 2nd and 3rd degree murder} and that george did himself in using drugs.
That being said, the chances of the cop walking is very slim because of the pressure on the jurors.
The evidence be damned, the prosecutors, didn't like the results of the official autopsy, so they brought in paid experts to contest the results, and that is just the beginning.

They are trying to scare the Jurists into acquitting the druggie. It’s as simple as that. They see it worked on Judges all across this Nation so why not do it again?
I can not see a reason for the names of Jurists to ever be seen by either the public or the Judge or the Attorneys.
Since CNN is so honest, moral and wise, while we are changing Amerika, let’s just do away with our judicial system and appoint Van Jones the judge, let him pick the jury and be done with it.
