My mom (89) was trapped in assisted living last year. Basically it was prison, locked in her room, we weren't even allowed to visit on or around Christmas. We got in earlier in the year but they had a couple positive cases and locked it down. The positive cases were in their 80's with no symptoms. We were lucky we were able to hire a private aide to take her out to walk around.

The whole thing is crazy, especially the responses. People need to step back and look at the big picture (other risks besides COVID and vaccines), and objectively evaluate each person. But most people do not. Especially the lawyers who run the assisted living and make every decision based on their perspective of avoiding lawsuits.
