A worker at an Atlanta grocery store heard 'clicking sounds,' and it sounded to him like someone was loading weapons inside a restroom stall, he told police. Then he saw an an 'AR-15-style rifle' leaning against the wall.
The sharp-eyed Instacart worker is getting credit for helping officers to stop the man wearing body armor and carrying a half-dozen guns from roaming through the Publix grocery store Wednesday, police said.
The new details are included in police incident reports released Thursday by Atlanta police. The man's intentions are not explained in the reports.
The worker, Charles Russell, 'heard clicking sounds from the bathroom stall,' a police report states. 'It sounded to him like someone was loading firearms.'
Russell then alerted a manager at the store, urging him to call 911.

Maybe he’d heard about the new toilet paper shortages.
Motive? What is the crime?
Good they stepped in and stopped anything from happening.
The feebs sure are activating there known wolves all over the place, aren't they.
BLM: Burn Loot Murder
How did he walk in with all of that, and hearing him load them--I don't see much ammo--good someone heard and reported. Maybe he had innocent reason for all the guns at once, maybe innocent reason for loading them in the restroom. Better to apologize to him if so than to ignore and see bad results if he were really intent on using them.
Obvious plan to do mass murder.
Another far right white extremist it appears.
God was at work here. Period.
White man? No
Story will die
Heck, flip in a pepper spray grenade and lock the door while taking cover and evacuating the patrons.
Not obvious. No crime was committed.
Motive?
Does anyone think it’ was a prank to aid the gun grabbers. I mean is was so dumb
Friday is GUNDAY. BE PREPARED. (so is saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday)
I carry concealed every day here in the Atlanta metro area.
When shopping at the local Publix and Kroger as well.....
That stated, can’t imagine the scenario that I would carry that number and type of weapons to pick up a gallon of milk and eggs.......
Obviously, the guy is disturbed....Would he have done anything? Who knows?
But it’s better to call the cops and let them check it out than not say something. It’s not illegal to carry them in Georgia concealed or open carry as long as you have a concealment permit.
I’ve open carried in my local Kroger a few times although I prefer concealed. They never say anything other than a few employees admiring the weapon and telling me about theirs.....
Boy oh boy, all of a sudden, there are mass shootings or (in this case) planned mass shootings.
Almost none under Trump, but the minute Democrats get into power, the number RAPIDLY increases.
These are not coincidences. These are orchestrated incidents.
Had the cops shower up 30 seconds later this might have been be a totally different story.
And according to initial reports, all the firearms were legally owned, so no crime was committed. That is why the only thing they could charge was a disorderly conduct level charge.
