"Imagine being put in a concentration camp for trying to start a kindergarten.
That's what happened to Abduweli Ayup, a writer, linguist, and now Uyghur activist.
But while the Chinese Communist Party is committing genocide in Xinjiang, the international community debates."
where they take the side of Xi Jinping about this issue....
I have already encountered a jerk who thinks the Uighurs deserve this for being Moslem. It will be interesting to see if any show up here.
Yep, that is a disgusting attitude.....
Sure hope not.
The left is in charge no so we’re out of it more ways than one. If there is a solution one would not be so flippant.
I watched all 17 min 54 sec of the video. It should be on every evening newscast here and abroad as it tells how badly the Uyghur people are being treated in Red China. This Uyghur man tried to start a kindergarten in his area where little Uyghur kids could go and his “crime” was doing the instruction in the Uyghur language as the other state-run schools only do it in the Chinese Mandarin as that is the official state language.
The CCP is trying to wipe out all of the traditional culture, language, religion and way of life. It’s genocide and just because the CCP hides the evil deed and does not produce mountains of starved corps, it’s just as evil.
No, thanks, I'll leave that to his puppet, Beijing Biden.
Bejing Biden has already said it’s okay because of different norms in different countries.
So the US under the 4th Reich will do nothing.
Given history, you expect anything else?
Someone enlighten me. What exactly are the Uyghur doing that is upsetting the Chinese government so much? If there are Muslim extremists among them, target them specifically, but to target an entire populace because they ascribe to a religion they were born into without choice doesn’t seem just.
Wrong. The "international community" is not debating. The "international community" is ignoring the genocide because it has nothing whatsoever to do with Israel.

When the Uighur issue is posted on FR, inevitably you’ll see posters who will either say, it isn’t our problem or we shouldn’t care because they’re Muslims or China is taking care of their terrorist problems correctly and we in the west should learn from them.
I won’t be surprised if you see such losters again.
Sometimes issues that are truly human rights conflict with American politics. The Uyghur situation reminds me of the Kurd situation. I totally support both in human rights and believe those who are torturing these people in all ways need to be brought to justice and severly punished. The flip side is how much can our country get involved in these issues. The Uyghur are Muslim so I have no idea to what sect and the Kurds are complex and although they are some of the best to fight extremist Islam, their ideology in some political divisions is marxist/statist I believe.
One thing about China — they’ll never have muzzies shooting up grocery stores or flying planes into tall buildings. Notice that not one muzzie country is defending the case against Uighurs except non-muzzie USA. Send all muzzies to China to teach them manners.
Other Muslim countries get to go to Xinjiang province for halal-compliant organ donation procedures.

= = =
And what are the Christians doing to upset the govt?
They all are just not acknowledging Xi as god.
It is just that simple. They are cooperative, contributing citizens (most of them), but not worshiping Xi.
They have had a number of Uyghur Muslim jihadist mass stabbing attacks at railway stations - that's one of the major reasons for the implementation of the concentration camps. But you can always count on Communists to punish the whole school for the bad behavior of a few kids.
