“Losing a House election by six votes is painful for Democrats. But overturning it in the House would be even more painful for America. Just because a majority can, does not mean a majority should," Phillips said in a tweet.

The Democrats did it in the case of an Indiana race in the 1980s but that was when they had a comfortable majority and never expected to lose control of the House.

Only republicans have to give up on close elections, don’tcha know. Anyway, we know how this usually ends, with reluctant democrats just caving.

GOP spewed lots of words over Indiana back then, but never responded appropriately. They’ve had plenty of cases of Dem’s stealing seats when GOP was allegedly in control and haven’t ever booted the thieves. BTW, the Indiana case isn’t the only such in history, but it was the first in decades.
