This. There isn’t any reason the states cannot pick up where the Feds left off. Although I am certain His Fraudulency’s Department of Just Us will file lawsuits to try to stop the states, in which case the states need to backbone to tell the Federal judiciary to pound sand because the Fed gov has no authority to break immigration law, which is what the drooling, senile sock puppet is doing.

“There isn’t any reason the states cannot pick up where the Feds left off.”

They actually have an obligation to protect their citizenry.

The cost will be prohibitive to complete, and no doubt the Left will find a thousand snares to impede and sabotage (like the endangered Artic Rat Lungworm, or some such), but they have a duty to do what they can.

Well, they could build a wall certainly, but I’m sure the land where Trump was going to build the wall is already controlled by the Feds, and the state can’t just build on Fed land. So I’m not sure what they think they can do, build another wall behind the half-finished border wall I guess?

I see one and it’s a big one, it’s called the Roosevelt Reservation but I don’t believe it will apply to Texas. Texas kept all public lands before agreeing to annexation and admittance as a state. New Mexico, Arizona and California gave up a 60 ft easement that now belongs to the federal Government.
