Traditional Democrats especially blue collar union workers are being abandoned by the Democratic Party in favor of illegal immigrants, Black Lives Matter and the LBGTQ lobby. Biden by a stroke of the pen on his first day in office killed 14,000 well paying blue collar jobs. These workers will vote increasingly GOP like the Reagan Democrats did in the 1980s.
I won’t dispute that as I don’t know much about him to be honest. But I do know he’d be have to be better than Cortez Masto.
I’m not convinced that a solid conservative can win statewide in Nevada any more with the pro-Democrat demographic shifts that have occurred in the state. Trump lost by only a couple of points both times, and Masto only won in 2016 by a couple of points, which may suggest there is reason to hope, but overall the trend in Nevada has been bleak over the last decade, ever since Sandoval coasted to re-election in 2010. That was the same year that the GOP flushed a chance to defeat the unpopular and loathsome Harry Reid in his last race by nominating the hapless Sharon Angle. Then Masto succeeded the retiring Reid in 2016 defeating Representative Heck. If I remember, Heck distanced himself from Trump, but since Trump also lost Nevada I’m not sure that decision by Heck made any difference one way or another.
I just think we need to be realistic. If Nevada voted like Tennessee, Alabama, Idaho, or Wyoming I’d eschew anything less than a genuine conservative (not that those states always deliver), but Nevada is not a conservative State. It’s like another race in 2010 in Delaware, when there’s was a popular, liberal Republican Congressman and former Governor (Castle) who likely would have won the open senate seat, but the unelectable Christine O’Donnell won the nomination instead, and then lost the general in a landslide as everyone knew she would. Now, would Castle have been a good Senator? No. Would he have won re-election in 2016? Maybe. Might he have pulled a Lincoln Chaffee and stopped caucusing as a Republican? Maybe. But would he have been better than the execrable Chris Coons, at least for a while? Yes, he would have been.
Nevada isn’t as bad as Delaware for sure, but it hardly seems like fertile ground for a solid conservative. So if it takes someone like Sandoval to win back the Senate then he’ll do.
Don’t be surprised if the Refugee Racket doesn’t start setttling lots more future Democrats in low population states like Idaho, especially since the program is about to be out on steroids by Biden with over 100,000 a year.

I worked the Trump campaign with my wife, and none of the Trump peeps voted for Heck. We never vote for NeverTrumpers

I went to the State GOP convention and Heck and the Gov.
Sandoval didn’t show up. That really hurt them.
If the Dems are divided maybe someone like Wayne Root could
win against Masto.

That’s not a bad description. Few people on our side can see what you see, we think that just because they’re born in America, they must also LOVE America. But that’s not the case, they HATE AMERICA, at least as it existed for nearly 250 years. I think, in most cases, their parents were simply too busy with their ‘careers’ and keeping up with the Jones to realize their kids were being molded into little Pol Pots, but here we are, and they now are a within a hair’s breath of having absolute power.
People here better hope they’ll be ‘nice’ to us. I know they won’t, so I won’t be living in this country by next New Year’s (hopefully I’m out sooner). Best of luck to you guys who thought that nothing could be worse than RINOs, you’ll soon learn your lesson, but I’ll keep checking in, though!
