Rand Paul questions if US borrowing puts country on path to become Venezuela

Sen. Rand Paul, one of the most outspoken Republicans about government spending, took to Twitter Sunday to ask if Congress’ borrowing is putting the U.S. economy on the same path as Venezuela's.

"New 1,000,000 bolivar note in Venezuela worth 53 cents," Paul tweeted, while linking to a Bloomberg report on hyperinflation in Caracas. "Will US be the next Venezuela with Congress borrowing over $6 trillion in one year?"

Paul’s comments came just a day after the Senate passed President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill in a 50-49 vote.

This latest borrowing (”COVID Relief”), is because we are already on the path to becoming Venezuela.

Leftists are in charge, and plundering the Treasury.

Very good point.

It may be that the ineptitude of our government is why their plan to implement Marxism fails to launch.

Case in point, the team of Joe Biden, Nancy, and Schumer. The Three Stooges would have better optics and performance.

It is beginning to look like they didn't do a lot of planning for what was to happen AFTER they stole the WH.

Joe can't manage a single press conference and Nancy has the Capitol locked-down by National Guardsmen who are sleeping on the floor in parking garages and eating meals laced with metal shavings.

Their only salvation would be if the military got so busy looking for white supremacists in their ranks that they left the back door open for the Chinese military to land and take control.

Even General Tso's chicken would be a big step up from metal shavings and ramen.
