Joe Manchin, 73, won't accept a simple majority rule in the Senate, threatening in a Monday clip to block Joe Biden's next massive legislative overhaul if Democrats don't allow Republicans a seat at the negotiating table.

The centrist West Virginia Democratic senator told 'Axios on HBO' in an interview clip released Monday that he will demand the GOP have a bigger voice on Biden's climate and infrastructure package – which could reach an outstanding $4 trillion – than they had on COVID stimulus.

'I'm not going to do it through reconciliation,' Manchin told Axios' Mike Allen when speaking of the next bill. 'I am not going to get on a bill that cuts them out completely before we start.'

In the Georgia US Senate January elections, both the Democrats and Republicans got less votes than Biden and Trump respectively did in the November election. I’m not sure how much “boycott” there actually was.

“boycotted away” ? What does that mean?

The seats were stolen exactly the way they stole it from Trump... counting stopped in dem controlled, high population areas. Next morning, voila. Dems won.

“Kakistocracy”

I didn’t know that was a thing, but we sure have obtained that low water mark.

Joe is telling the dems what they forgot. Just do a deal with the RINOs. They will take a cut for themselves give you what you want and give you bipartisan support - oh and keep them from running to Trump and his supporters because you rejected them.

Just show the RINOs some love and everyone will get along just fine.

ossoff polled 100K fewer votes in the runoff. perdue took a 300,000 vote hit. that was the boycott.

it’s not debatable.

we wouldn’t be talking about this if we hadn’t boycotted away two senate seats in GA in the runoff.

Shut the hell up. Perdue would have won outright in the general election if not for voter fraud. If you're not focusing on that and assuring cheat-by-mail doesn't happen again, you're part of the problem.

Jesus, grow up.

first of all, I didn’t say there were no bogus mail ballots. I said that the boycotters gave the senate away.

I get that you don’t like people pointing out the world ending results of your mistakes, but try to come up with a less retarded answer than “shut the hell up”.

I’m not shutting up; you’re going to wear this one.

Ya right. Manchin won’t accept a simple majority Senate vote, but still will vote to do away with the filibuster.... which makes the Senate into a simple majority vote institution.

Sell your duplicity elsewhere, Joe.

HR-1, so called voting rights bill is far more important at this point to enforce the filibuster.

Manchin talks a good game, but, on important matters - usually folds.

HR-1 is the most destructive federalization of state law which could guarantee broad voter fraud for 4 years (until we take WH, House and Senate).

If he folds on that (which I think he will) and votes that the filibuster does not apply; we are doomed.

WTF are you babbling about? I never suggested the Georgia run-offs be boycott.

Secondly, you can't blame people in Georgia for not thinking the run-offs would be legitimate when the general election was rigged. That's not their fault, that's fault of Brian Kemp, Brad Raffensperger and the Republican establishment for not stepping up and taking strong measures to reinstate valid signature verification for the run-offs.

That you're blaming the wrong people indicates to me you're shill for Republican establishment.

We have concrete data that indicates you are wrong. 250,000 voters who voted Red in November in Georgia, stayed home in November, because of brain dead morons like Wood.

If those 250K had turned out, BOTH senate seats would have been won by the GOP by comfortable margins.

Whether you like it or not, Georgia has been following Virginia’s trend for a number of years. The changes in Cobb County are real and predate 2020.

Georgia has a very similar problem as Virginia. The Metro Atlanta region has 6,020,364 people. It contains nearly 57% of Georgia’s entire population. Metro Atlanta is extremely wealthy, elitist and “woke.” When you have 57% of your State’s population crunched into an area like that, it can dominate the State.

NOVA and Metro Atlanta are very, very similar in terms of the wealth of the counties, the influx of technology industry and the “wokeness” of the suburbs of these areas.

GA, VA, and CO have been trending left very, very fast since 2004.

FL, PA, WI and MN have all been trending right.

Florida’s rightward trend has been nearly as fast as Georgia’s leftward trend.

I know the facts may upset you, but the facts don’t care about your feelings.

One “centrist” Democrat, and that’s really up for debate.

70,000 voters from Republican-leaning counties not showing up makes a legitimate defeat in the run-off very plausible.

It was even more than that. Something along the lines of 250K.
