My son is a DoD contractor and has been international non stop thru the virus. No vaccine required. So far anyway.
Some locations/countries require them stay in room on base. Some countries have allocated locations for overnight stays. Each country is different. But, a vaccine has not been required.
The other two absolutely do prevent getting the disease and are vaccines

He is not always on bases either. He sticks with the dukes of the country. Ie Ireland has a tight travel distance for everyone. He’s been and goes to every continent. But, he still has not been required to vaccinate. I pray he can get away with it as long as possible.

The Messenger RNA vaccine uses the cell’s ribosomes in the process of translating the target protein needed to prompt the antibodies to target the C-virus. In fact it uses the same machinery that the C-virus uses to assemble the proteins needed to create new viruses. This spike protein is then presented on the surface of the host cell’s membrane where they bind to the MHC-1 and MHC-2 complex molecules. This starts the process where T-cells are programmed to produce antibodies that will attack and destroy the host cell as well as any future C-virus’s Spike Proteins that enter the body.
In the case of the Johnson and Johnson adenoviral vector vaccine, it links up the DNA of Spike Protein to a genetically engineered virus (rendering it harmless) which transports it into the cell. The adenovirus can infect a wide range of cells in the body. From their long history of use, we know they will not affect the human DNA. However, they will be used by the cell’s ribosomes to transcribe the RNA of the DNA strand of the Spike Protein. Then it undergoes the same process that the Messenger RNA goes through to create the programmed antibodies to fight the C-virus.
The problem with the adenovirus it they need to create one that humans are not already immune to. This takes some genetic engineering. If the wrong virus is used for the transporter, a person’s immune system will destroy it before it can get into the cell for the transcription process. Because of that, it has lower percentages of effectiveness; especially for older people who have a larger range of immunities. Fortunately, less common strains of viruses have been found: the Chimpanzee, Ad26 and Ad32.
